Public is Saying ‘Modi Tera Kamal Khilega’: PM Modi

SHILLONG: The Indian Prime Minister took part in a roadshow and a rally in the capital of Meghalaya ahead of the legislative assembly polls in the state on Friday.

He took at swing at the opposition parties in the centre during the election rally in Shillong saying that the people of the state of Meghalaya and the country as a whole will vote for the Bharatiya Janata Party. “Some people who have been rejected by the country are immersed in sadness and are now saying 'Modi teri kabra khudegi' but the people of the country are saying 'Modi tera kamal khilega'," mentioned the prime minister.

"When I think of Meghalaya, I think of talented people, and vibrant traditions. I am here with a message of hope and development. India is scaling new heights of success and Meghalaya is making a strong contribution to it," added Narendra Modi while speaking at the rally.

During the first visit to the Northeastern state during the year 2023 he expressed confidence of a comfortable victory in the upcoming elections in the state by securing a large vote share. Multiple leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party along with some candidates for the upcoming elections are taking part in the campaigning events across the state.

Multiple central leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party, apart from the prime minister, also participated in the election campaigning in the state over the last week. Some of them include Jagat Prakash Nadda, Sarbananda Sonwal and Kiren Rijiju among others. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also took part in the campaigning of several other candidates in the state.

Development, corruption, education and healthcare are some of the main agendas that are being put up by the parties in the state. With just about one day left for the campaigning, it remains to see which candidate is being selected at the constituencies.
